Planning Meetings

At Brimstone we recognise that school SENCos value the role of the Educational Psychologist in planning meetings. We offer schools the opportunity to purchase planning meetings throughout the school year. In this way Head teachers and SENCos can support school staff to help them get the most from working with an Educational Psychologist with the added benefit being that time is used efficiently.

Work is discussed and agreed at the planning meeting. The meeting is typically attended by the Headteacher, SENCo and EP but other colleagues can be invited, the meeting typically lasts for an hour.

During the planning meeting the EP can help you to identify students who may be vulnerable or at risk, plan provision, intervention, and resources, look at whole school opportunities, system and policy changes and training needs.
